WINE COUNTRY TOUR 5 DAYS AND 4 NIGHTS

Day 01: Santiago
Transfer airport / hotel in Santiago
Pm: Panoramic City Tour:
Tour around Santiago visiting the city's most outstanding attractions, including the main square "Plaza de Armas",  Santiago's Cathedral,  the Government Palace "La Moneda" in the civic centre. Then, the trip continues by the main avenues of the old Santiago, crossing the bohemian neighbourhood of Bellavista driving  up the San Cristobal Hill, for a magnificent panoramic view of the city and the Andes Mountain Range. Descend and travel on direction to the neighbourhoods of Vitacura and Las Condes, the modern commercial districts and great places for shopping. The tour ends with a visit to the artisan village of "Los Graneros del Alba", where artisans can be seen at work, having plenty of time to walk around or do some shopping. Return to the hotel
Overnight.

Day 02: F/day wine tour in Casablanca valley:
Departure towards the valley of Casablanca, affected by a maritime influence, which together with special soil conditions allows the worldwide famous wines of the area.  Enjoy the best tour of the Casablanca valley at Casas del Bosque, a family boutique winery who will enchanted with all its tourism attractions, specially created to make your visit different and unforgettable wine experience.  Here you will learn, enjoyed and taste the best wine of Chile in a relaxing and pleasant environment with premium service.
Then, the trip continues towards Matetic vineyard, The new Matetic winery is a state-of-the-art winemaking facility, constructed so as to complement its glorious setting. In other words, harmony has been reached between the winery's organic agricutural practices and the natural landscape of the valley. This winery, which has a 300 thousand-liter capacity, relies on a gravitational-flow design that optimizes management of the grapes brought in from the nearby vineyards. After a lunch menu, transfer to the cellar. During a tour, visitors can learn about the different phases of wine production while appreciating stunning views of the vineyards and the beautiful Rosario Valley. Return to Santiago.

Day 03:
In the morning drive south towards Colchagua Valley with a stop at Casa Silva vineyard: with over 100 years related with land and wine, Casa Silva, possesses the oldest and most traditional winery and vineyards within the valley.  The story begins in the 19th century when Emilio Bouchon Poitvin came from Bordeaux, France, and took up residence on his Angostura estate near San Fernando, starting with the plantation of the first vineyards and the construction of the current centenary winery.  In 1997, the Silva family decided to bottle the wine under their own brand name. 5 generations have carried on the tradition of fine wine making since 1892.

Santa Cruz
Then, continue to Viu Manent,  This winery is one of the oldest in Chile, established in the middle of the XIX century. However, its recent history goes back to 1966 when the San Carlos State was purchased by Miguel Viu Manent. This is when it began producing and selling wine to the large chilean wineries. In 1990, the winery underwent a radical change with the decision to bottle and export their own wines. The tour includes a ride in an old car pulled by horses by the vineyards, then a visit to the wine cellar ending with  a tasting of wine. Lunch included in the restaurant of the vineyard.
In the afternoon, transfer to your hotel located in one of the vineyards near Santa Cruz city.

Day 04:
In the morning, transfer to Santa Cruz vineyard, located 25km south of Santa Cruz, on the road to Lolol, a new wine project aimed at producing wine grapes for the production of very high quality wines. At the winery you will be able to taste the highly awarded wine, Chamán, and visit the Indigenous Village that has been built next to the vineyard. This village consists of reproductions of Mapuche, Rapa Nui, and Aymara tribal dwellings. Access to the village is by cable car.
Then, the tour includes the Colchagua Museum, a private museum located in a large adobe manor built in 1850, was planned with the concept to go through the past of the planet and the Universal man's History, from our American reality. Thanks to the variety of pieces, Mr. Carlos Cardoen Cornejo, its founder, has collected, the visitor can get an illustration about themes on Paleonthology, Archaeology and pre Columbian Art of Chile and America, History of the Conquest, Colony and Independence of Chile and America till the Republican Period. Besides it includes thematic pavilions about Modernity, History and Development of Arms, Huaso Riding Gears, Coaches and Carriages, Agricultural Machinery and The Railway Pavilion. All this outlines it as the biggest and most varied and diverse museum in Latin America.
After a lunch menu in a local restaurant, transfer back to Santiago.

Day 05: Am wine tour in Maipo valley:
Departure from your hotel towards Pirque where you will visit Concha y Toro vineyard, founded in 1883, the country's largest wine exporter. A complete guided tour of the facility begins in the vineyards, some of which were planted by founder (and noted winemaker) Spanish nobleman Don Melchor de Concha y Toro himself, covers every step of the wine-making process and includes a wine tasting. The trip continues to the Maipo Canyon, a great place to examine the Andes in all their stunning including a  typical lunch at Casa Bosque, a nice  restaurant similar to a forest history for children. Return to the hotel.
At the agreed time, transfer to the airport on time to board your next flight. (L)
