DAY 1: ARRIVAL CALAMA - SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA & VALLEY OF THE
MOON
Reception at Calama’s El Loa Airport and transfer to the hotel
in San
Pedro de Atacama. In the afternoon, a visit to the silent Valley
of the
Moon is scheduled. This mysterious place brings to mind a lunar
landscape along with its magnificent petrous shapes and huge
sand
dunes. Return to San Pedro de Atacama. Overnight.
DAY 2: SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA & ATACAMA SALT FLAT
This morning city tour includes the Father Le Paige Museum, a
properly
organized exhibit which evidences Atacama society’s development.
The
mummies, particularly one indigenous woman whose hair and outfit
are
intact, are simply stunning. Have lunch in San Pedro. In the
afternoon,
enjoy a visit to Atacama Salt Flat and Toconao. (B) Overnight.
DAY 3: EL TATIO GEYSERS & ALTIPLANO VILLAGES – CALAMA
Transfer to the geysers zone at 04.30 am. Which are located at a
height
of 4,300 meters. At the crack of dawn, geysers start to spew out
powerful
spurts up to 8 meters high. The steam columns give the whole
scenery
a mystical touch. Continue the tour towards Caspana, one of the
most
beautiful Atacaman villages. A small museum explains its rules
and
ceremonies. After that, visit Chiu Chiu (the oldest church in
Chile) a)nd
Pukara de Lasana.(B) Overnight.
Day 4 TRANSFER OUT
Transfer to Calama to board next flight. (B)
